About Us

FCC Slogan “Along with the playing of cricket, FCC desire to be an umbrella organization for several sporting activities
Established in 2007, the Friends Cricket Club is today a premier sports and social club in Sultanate. It is the first voguish sports club in Oman, with a supreme admire and devotion towards the ‘art of cricket’.

The Club stands at the centre of the city’s colonial heart, a public arena that has witnessed many of triumphs and defeats & upheavals, and has always been a multicultural club, welcomes new members and encourages juniors.

Humble Beginnings
The Club’s beginnings were quite humble, When a group of friends ‘who loved cricket like any other cricket lovers’ decided to form a club intended for cricket recreation with the first 22 members in 2007 being mostly men working in the various companies and mercantile community.

The FCC, however, initially not had enough credentials or qualification rules to compete for the premier league (OCC) until 2008-2009 seasons. As years conceded, and members reformed, but the determination of FCC remains constant & stable in developing team infrastructure and other fundamental deeds; too soon played its first ever league division match -OCC in 2008-2009 season.

Concern for the cricket became a hallmark of the Club, although restructuring of the club took place in 2011-2012, the vigor did not culminate. Yet; finally the extravaganza triggered sparkling club as it transformed to a modern era with the proficient Management Professional & Media Administrators, with prolific Direction of Mr. Nowfal, Manager Mr. Neil Paily & Technical advice from Sindo Moonamchery & Shiju VS
